Kiwanis Club of Manchester is a group of community-oriented people dedicated to enhancing, enriching and improving the lives of children and youth in our city. We do this through community service projects, fundraising efforts, and partnerships with area schools and organizations. Some of us are business and community leaders. Many are average folks. We are dreamers and doers. We are friends and neighbors. We are a family of dedicated volunteers.
Kiwanis Club of Manchester was chartered in 1921 and was the first Kiwanis Club in the state of New Hampshire; check out our 100th Anniversary Booklet. We are a completely volunteer-run nonprofit organization open to men and women interested in sharing their time, talent and treasure to improve the quality of life in Manchester. Our current list of Officers and Board Members can be found here.
Kiwanis Club of Manchester hosts meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the Comman Man Tru in the Manchester Millyard. Members cover the cost of their own meals, however guests of members hoping to join our club can attend a meeting and their initial meal is complimentary. Please see the calendar for more information; newcomers and visitors are welcome.
Our club meetings are informative, social and fun! We regularly have speakers from the local area and beyond to share information, organizations, happenings, and events.

The Kiwanis Mission & Vision
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Service Projects.
Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.

The name “Kiwanis” was coined from an expression in a Native American language of the Detroit area, “Nunc Kee-wanis,” which means, “we trade” or “we share our talents.”

More photos to come from an eventful Manchester Kiwanis week! Kids & Community always come first ❤️HOW ABOUT THE OLD GUY? I never publish photos of me, because who the hell wants to look at...me. But this was fun. My service club the Kiwanis Club of Manchester, NH and the city's Park and Rec. Dept. partnered for an Easter event, Saturday. I was the photographer. Kiwanis Key Club students from Memorial High were doing face painting and stickers. I asked if an old guy could get in on it. Meow! Thank you Kiwanian, Stephanie Cook for the pic. ... 🚨 What does it take to protect a city of 115,000—every single day?
This week, the Kiwanis Club of Manchester was honored to welcome Fire Chief Ryan Cashin as our guest speaker.
Chief Cashin shared a powerful look into the evolution of the Manchester Fire Department—and the people behind it.
🔥 Key Highlights: • Over 28,000 emergency calls annually • A citywide goal of responding in under 4 minutes • Implementation of advanced technology, including GPS-integrated dispatch systems and upgraded fire reporting software • Expansion of ALS (Advanced Life Support) engines to increase speed and level of care across the city • Specialized response units including hazmat, swift water rescue, and a mobile command center
But beyond the equipment and operations, one message stood out:
💬 “The culture of the department is everything.”
Chief Cashin emphasized a renewed focus on mental health support for first responders, including PTSD awareness, breathing and mindfulness programs, and a commitment to strengthening the next generation through the return of recruit training.
❤️ He also highlighted initiatives like Safe Haven Baby Boxes, providing a safe, anonymous option for mothers in crisis—ensuring every life is met with compassion and care.
From innovation to humanity, it’s clear: Manchester’s fire service is evolving with purpose.
We are grateful for Chief Cashin’s leadership and for the dedication of the entire department in keeping our community safe.
