At our recent Manchester Kiwanis meeting, we were grateful to welcome Nikki Shultz and Kateryna from Building Community in New Hampshire (BCNH) Building Community in NH to share more about their work supporting refugees and immigrants as they build safe, stable lives here in New Hampshire.
BCNH works alongside families across the state, helping them navigate everything from housing, healthcare and school enrollment to English classes, appointments, transportation and workforce development.
Kateryna shared about her work with Ukrainian families, many of whom came to New Hampshire seeking safety for their children, while Nikki spoke about BCNH’s broader work with communities from around the world and the importance of having case managers who understand and are connected to the communities they serve.
Today, BCNH is working with approximately 300 children across New Hampshire — a powerful reminder of just how many families are impacted by this work.
We also appreciated learning about the many ways our community can get involved through volunteering, special events, fundraising, outreach, advocacy and board service.
Thank you, Nikki and Kateryna, for spending the evening with us and for the meaningful work you’re doing to help families feel welcomed, supported and connected here in New Hampshire. 💙 Building Community in New Hampshire
