Major Emphasis Grant Application (up to $50,000 over 3 years)
Thank you to those who submitted applications; the application process for Major Emphasis has closed. Please see below for our annual grant application.

2025 Grant – Emergency Food Insecurity
Due to cuts in many government programs and the shortfalls expected this Summer with feeding kids in need, the board has allocated $20,000 in emergency grant money to help support organizations that feed kids. Funding requests MUST address food insecurity for children 18 and under within the greater Manchester area. Applicants must not have received funding from Kiwanis for the same program within the past 12 months; organizations may apply for funding for a DIFFERENT program within their organization. If this is the case, organizations should explain how this request is different from the request that was funded within the past year.

Last week, the Kiwanis Club of Manchester was honored to welcome Bill Weidacher as our guest speaker for an insightful discussion on New Hampshire’s ever-changing real estate landscape.
A longtime Kiwanian, Webster House supporter, and founding partner of Keller Williams Metropolitan, Bill shared his journey from the restaurant and nightclub industry into real estate more than 40 years ago — helping build one of New Hampshire’s leading brokerages. Today, KW Metropolitan has nearly 400 agents, over 2,900 closed units, and more than $1.5 billion in closed sales volume in 2025 alone.
Bill reflected on how dramatically the industry has evolved — from black-and-white Polaroid listing photos printed in catalogues to today’s instant nationwide online access. While technology has changed the business, the emotional side of buying and selling homes remains the same.
Some key takeaways included: 🏡 NH’s ongoing housing inventory shortage 📈 Median home prices rising from roughly $265k in 2017 to over $535k today 🏘️ Affordability challenges facing first-time homebuyers 💻 COVID permanently shifting where and how people choose to live and work 🤝 The importance of ethics, collaboration, and relationships within real estate
Bill also shared the inspiring story behind the Bill & Diane Scholarship Program through Fine Homes Group. What began as a single $1,000 scholarship has now grown into more than $120,000 awarded to local students over the past decade.
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was hearing Bill talk about personally interviewing scholarship recipients and learning their stories, goals, and dreams. One student even told him she hoped that someday he’d be working for her — proving, as Bill said with a smile, “It’s good to have goals.” 💙💛
Thank you, Bill, for sharing your wisdom, humor, leadership, and heart with our club.
We’re honored to welcome a distinguished leader in New Hampshire’s real estate community as our guest speaker this week! Please join us in welcoming Bill Weidacher this Wednesday night @ 5:30pm.
With over 40 years of experience, Bill has made a lasting impact at the local, state, and national levels—serving as a two-time President of the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS® and a dedicated leader within the industry. His commitment to excellence and service was recognized with the prestigious Distinguished Service Award in 2023.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bill is passionate about leadership development, serving as a facilitator for the NHAR Leadership Academy and helping shape the next generation of leaders.
